For a long time, depalletizing in the chemical industry has been a heavy and tiring job for workers and is prone to health hazards. Using the robot vision solution, while reducing the labor intensity of the operation and providing material handling, it can also meet the needs of special environments such as explosion-proof workshops, high-dust workshops, and dangerous places where personnel cannot enter.

The new-generation vision solution based on the Mixed AI physics engine can effectively cope with various situations such as object tilting, stacking, deformation, etc., with fast grasping speed and high efficiency, realizing automatic and intelligent production of depalletizing.

 

Project Description

 

During the material production process, the finished saggers will be neatly stacked on the trailer to wait for the powder in the bowl to be removed. When the trailer arrives at the designated location, it is necessary to use the 3D industrial camera to locate the saggers on the trailer, cooperate with the manipulator to grab each sagger, pour out the powder and place it in another designated location for recycling.

 

Project Challenge

 

1. During actual work, due to factors such as bumps in the trailer’s walking process, the sagger will deviate in the horizontal direction and tilt in the vertical direction.

2. The sagger may be damaged during the high-temperature sintering process, and the powder in the bowl may be half full or higher than the edge of the sagger, which seriously affects the recognition of the sagger by the visual system.

3. The environment is dusty, which is easy to interfere with visual recognition.

 

Solution Advantage

 

Use the Mixed AI training algorithm model to effectively deal with various interference recognition situations such as tilted stacking, broken bowls, and overflowing edges of powder in the bowl, and accurately output the pose of the sagger, successfully solving customer problems;

The vision system has a good generalization ability, and new models can be completed with simple debugging, helping factories realize automatic recycling of saggers, speed up production rhythm, and realize flexible production change;

The workers are freed from the repetitive and tiring work of removing the sintered powder in the sagger, avoiding the inhalation of the powder by the workers, reducing labor and cost.
